Applicants who meet the following conditions are eligible to participate:

• Participation in Al Qari Al Mojawed and Al Qari Al Muratel categories is open for males only, whereas both males and females can participate in Al Qari Al Sagheer and Al Qari Al Hafiz categories.
• Age limit for participant should not exceed 17 years for “Al Qari Al Sageer”, and 40 years for other categories.
• Candidate is eligible to participate in one of the Competition's categories.
• Candidate had never qualified to the final stage in the same category in previous versions of the Competition.
• Candidate has never been a jury in this competition.
