Awqaf of Egypt urges Quranic bodies to partake in “Global Reciter” competition

In a bid to expand the values of cooperation and integration between the Ministry of Justice, Islamic Affairs and Endowments (MOJIA) and Ministry of Awqaf of the Arab Republic of Egypt for the common good, the Egyptian Awqaf expressed its readiness to stimulate the online International Quran Recitation Competition - “Global reciter” - through coordinating and urging all Quranic bodies to participate in the competition.

H.E. Shailkh Khaled bin Ali Al Khalifa Minister of Justice, Islamic Affairs and Endowments expressed his gratitude to the Ministry of Awqaf of Egypt and hailed the mutual cooperation and the great efforts of Minister of Awqaf Mohammad Mokhtar Gomaa in order to bring the Global Reciter competition, held under the patronage of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, to success.

It is worth mentioning that the Global Reciter is the first of its type competition that aims to investing in the latest technologies to serve the Quran. It allows internet users from anywhere in the world to participate in reciting the holly Quran and enable online distance evaluation of all participations by a number of specialized Shaikhs and reciters .
