Islamic Affairs organizes press conference today launching “Global Reciter”

The Holy Quran Affairs Directorate at the Ministry of Justice, Islamic Affairs and Endowments will organize a press conference at Isa Cultural Center on Wednesday to launch the 3rd version of the Bahrain Web-based International Quran Recitation (Global Reciter) which is honored by the Royal patronage of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the King of the Kingdom of Bahrain.

The conference will start with beautiful recitation by the Bahraini Reciter Mohammed Sameer Mujahid, the winner of the 2nd version in Tajweed Reciter. The press conference includes a speech by the Ministry Undersecretary Dr. Fareed bin Yaqoub Al-Miftah, representing the organizer the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, followed by a speech of the High Council for Islamic Affairs, being the official sponsor, delivered by Assistant Secretary General of the Council Shaikh Yaser bin Ibrahim Al-Jalahmah, and then a speech of the Technical Partner, which will be delivered by Vice Chief Executive of Information & eGovernment Authority DR Zakareya Ahmed AlKhaja.

It is worth mentioning that the Global Reader Competition is the first of its kind and is open for all participants from anywhere in the world where Internet is accessible. The first and second versions of the competition have received wide attention and attracted thousands of competitors from all over the world. The Competition aims at serving the Holy Quran and encouraging all age groups to recite the Quran, as well as highlighting the Kingdom of Bahrain’s efforts to foster care of the Holy Quran at the global level, and enhance the Kingdom's unique initiatives in the field of eGovernment.
